Announcement based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information

Fuji Nihon Corporation (hereinafter “the Company”) announces the following based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter “the Act”).

1. Announcement on the Purpose of Use of Personal Information

(1)Purpose of use when directly obtaining personal information other than by writing and indirectly obtaining personal information (Article 18, Paragraph 1 of the Act)

When acquiring personal information directly from customers or other individuals in writing, the Company will clearly state the purpose of use each time (Article 18, Paragraph 2 of the Act).

When personal information is acquired directly or indirectly in any other way, the Company will handle it within the scope of the following purposes of use (Article 18, Paragraph 1 of the Act).

(2)Purpose of use of outsourced personal information (Article 18, Paragraph 1 of the Act, Article 23, Paragraph 4, Item 1 of the Act)
The Company does not acquire personal information through outsourcing.

(3)Acquisition through merger, spin-off, or business succession (Article 23, Paragraph 4, Item 2 of the Act)
The Company does not acquire personal information through merger, spin-off, or business succession.

(4)Matters regarding joint use (Article 23, Paragraph 4, Item 3 of the Act, Article 23, Paragraph 5 of the Act)
The Company does not acquire personal information through joint use.

2. Matters that should be made available to the concerned party regarding retained personal data (Article 24, Paragraph 1 of the Act)

The Company’s purpose of use of retained personal data is as follows.

3. Provision of personal data to third parties (Article 23, Paragraphs 2 and 3 of the Act)

The Company will appropriately manage personal data obtained from customers and other individuals and will not provide it to third parties without the prior consent of the customer and other individuals; notwithstanding the following cases:

  • When it is required by law
  • When it is necessary for the protection of one’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the party concerned.
  • When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the healthy upbringing of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the party concerned.
  • In the event it is necessary to cooperate with a national organization, local government, or an entrusted body in carrying out the affairs stipulated by law, and obtaining the consent of the party concerned may interfere with the execution of the affairs.
